According to STMicroelectronics' announcement (Nov 4, 2026), the STM32H7P microcontroller series pairs a 520 MHz Arm Cortex-M7 core (2,773 CoreMark) with two hardware accelerators. The Hardware Signal Processor (HSP) is a DSP accelerator for matrix, vector and signal-processing operations; ST says it cuts Fast Fourier Transform time by up to 5x compared with software on the Cortex-M7. The Neural-ART NPU delivers up to 85 GOPS; ST cites 40x faster inference than software for its arc-fault circuit interrupter (AFCI) model for solar-inverter safety, 20x for an anomaly-detection model and 15x for a battery-management (BMS) model. The series offers up to 2 MB of flash at a price similar to the previous 1 MB STM32H7 series, operates up to 125°C and is covered by ST's industrial longevity programme. STM32H7P is sampling to OEMs now, with production planned for January 2027 and pricing from $4.43 (1 MB flash, LQFP100, 10,000-unit orders). The NUCLEO-H7P5II board and STM32H7P5IDK Discovery kit are also due in January 2027. Models are developed with the ST Edge AI Suite and the STM32Cube ecosystem.
