Custom AI tools

One small, focused tool that replaces one repetitive task.

Have a time-consuming routine — reading invoices, sorting feedback, cleaning spreadsheets, compiling reports? I build lightweight AI tools tailored to that workflow, with a way to measure whether they really save time.

Kinds of tools I build

Examples of the kind of work that fits. These are service directions, not completed client projects.

Document extraction

Read PDFs, invoice photos, forms or emails and put the required fields into a spreadsheet/CSV, with flags on the rows a human should check.

Classification & tagging

Sort tickets, customer feedback, reviews or catalogue items into your own labels, optionally with a confidence score.

Data cleaning & merging

Normalise names, dates and addresses; detect duplicate records; merge several sources. Every change is logged so it can be audited.

Reports & dashboards

Turn recurring numbers into a report or a simple web dashboard, with a natural-language summary where it helps.

Workflow automation

Connect steps you do by hand: read an email, call an API, update a sheet, send a notification — with a human approval step where it is risky.

Small CLI / web utilities

A small app that runs on your machine or a cheap server, with install instructions and full source.

How I work

Small, measurable, no lock-in.

Understand the current routine

You send 5–10 real examples (sensitive data removed) and describe the output you want.

Agree acceptance criteria

We agree how to measure: accuracy on held-out examples, processing time, number of rows that need review.

Demo, then deliver

You try the demo on your own data; once you agree you get the source, documentation and a walkthrough. Payment by PayPal invoice.

What I will tell you up front

  • AI is not 100% accurate: I measure accuracy on your examples and design the human-review step.
  • Not every task is worth automating — if a simple script is enough, I will say so.
  • Your data is used only for the project; if it must go to a third-party AI provider I will tell you first (see the Privacy Policy).

Not a fit for: automated decisions on health, legal, credit or employment matters without human oversight, or projects that need guaranteed outcomes.

Describe the task you want gone

Two or three sentences are enough for me to reply with questions and a fixed-scope proposal.
