MediaTek and Ericsson: first multi-vendor pre-6G over-the-air connection, >5 Gbps peak download potential

MediaTek and Ericsson announced the first multi-vendor pre-6G over-the-air connection using a 400 MHz channel bandwidth, carried out in September at the T-Mobile 6G Innovation Hub in Bellevue. The companies say it demonstrates potential peak download speeds above 5 Gbps and upload above 2 Gbps. It is a pre-6G field trial, not a commercial service.
