Mistral releases open weights for Mistral Large 4: a 1-trillion-parameter multimodal model
According to Bad Influence's AI Weekly, Mistral AI released the open weights of an improved Mistral Large 4 after three more weeks of reinforcement learning — a 1T-parameter multimodal model under a modified MIT licence. The company reports 51% on the Artificial Analysis Cyber Index and 41% on Terminal-Bench 4.0 (up 13 points over the public preview); API pricing is $0.70 / $2.10 per million input / output tokens. The same week vLLM announced day-0 support (a mixture-of-experts model with 49B active parameters per token).
